Crowd Favourite Baked Beans

Loved by carnivores and vegans alike.

Iron rich. Protein rich. Delicious.

3 chopped garlic cloves

2 cans cannnelini beans

1/2 a 700ml bottle of passata

2 tsp broth powder (I use nutra-organics)

2 sprigs of rosemary

1/2 tbs maple syrup

1 tbs tamari

1 tbs dijion or American mustard

2 tbsp smoked paprika

  1. Sauté garlic in olive oil

  2. Stir beans into garlic oil for a few minutes

  3. Add passata and all other ingredients, mixing the broth powder onto 200ml of hot water and add.

  4. Stir and simmer on a low heat, covered, for 45 minutes.

  5. Can serve with an egg on top, grated parmesan or nutritional yeast. Serve with crunch sourdough toast.
